STANFORD, Calif. - In only his first year on The Farm, freshman Sihwan Kim has been named to the Jack Nicklaus Award Watch List. The award is annually given to the best player in collegiate golf. Kim joins 20 other golfers from Division I institutions on the list. Separate awards are given for each NCAA division, and the NAIA.
The Buena Park, Calif. native is certainly having a rookie season to remember. He is currently averaging 71.4 strokes per round and has recorded 12 under-par rounds. He shot a 63 in the second round of the UH-Hilo Invitational in February, his lowest round so far, on his way to a tie for second place and helping the team to the tournament's crown.
